Privacy Policy

This page describes the data IRAInvesting.com gathers, the reasons we gather it, the way it gets used, and the control you keep over it. We have written it in everyday language so that reading it does not feel like a chore.
About this publisher
IRAInvesting.com is an independent publisher of retirement education and Gold IRA company reviews, founded by Tim Schmidt. Our articles and research are released under the IRA Investing name. If you have any question or request about your data, write to info@irainvesting.com and a real person will read it.
Things we deliberately leave alone
It helps to state the limits first, so here is what reading this site does not involve:
- Reading our articles requires no login. We run no public sign-up and keep no reader accounts.
- There is no comment area on the site, so we store no comments, no avatars, and no commenter addresses.
- Your personal details are never offered for sale to anyone, full stop.
- We operate no behavioral ad networks and do no retargeting across the web.
- We never ask for, and never capture, bank logins, Social Security numbers, or comparable sensitive records anywhere on this website.
Details you hand to us on purpose
Should you reach out through a form on the site, the name, email, and note you type are recorded so that we can write back. Those messages stay in our mailbox as ordinary business correspondence. We will not feed them into marketing, and we will not pass them to outside parties.
Details gathered in the background
As happens on nearly any site you visit, a few routine technical signals get logged while you browse:
- Hosting logs. Our host keeps the usual web-server records, which include the visitor IP address, the browser and version in use, which pages loaded, the link that sent you over, and the date and time. These entries let us read overall traffic trends and dig into security or technical problems when they crop up.
- Audience measurement. We lean on analytics software to see which guides are pulling their weight and how visitors arrive. Tools of this kind generally rely on cookies and may register a masked form of your IP, the pages you open, and how long you linger on each one. None of that measurement gets tied back to who you actually are.
- Our own first-party cookies. IRA Investing places just a handful of functional cookies of its own. They mostly hold on to small preferences during a visit and help our outbound link attribution work, which the next section covers.
Affiliate clicks and how attribution works
Readers fund this site rather than advertisers. Whenever you tap one of our links to a Gold IRA dealer, custodian, or related provider and then go on to open or fund an account, that company may pay us a referral fee. That income is what pays for independent research aimed at retirement savers, kept free for you.
On the privacy side, clicking an affiliate link can trigger two separate things:
- Our short branded redirect, for instance
https://irainvesting.com/goldco, may drop a brief cookie so the click is credited to us correctly, and then it sends you onward to the partner. - The site you land on, whether that is Goldco, Augusta Precious Metals, American Hartford Gold, Noble Gold Investments, GoldenCrest Metals, or another, normally runs its own cookies and its own measurement under a privacy policy of its own. Those outside trackers sit beyond our reach.
Getting paid a commission has no effect on how we score or cover a company. The complete framework lives in our Affiliate Disclosure, and the cookie mechanics are spelled out in our Cookie Policy.
Outside services in the mix
To keep the site online and steadily improving, IRA Investing depends on a short list of outside providers. Each of these may see standard server signals, such as your IP and browser, about visits, and each operates under its own privacy terms:
- The company that hosts the site and handles server-level security.
- The analytics provider we use to read traffic in aggregate.
- The system that records affiliate clicks and assigns the referral.
- Whichever dealer, custodian, or research partner you head to when you leave us by clicking a link.
What the data actually does for us
- It lets us answer the notes you send through a form.
- It shows us which topics and articles readers value, so we can sharpen what we publish next.
- It allows referrals to be credited properly and commissions to be squared up with partners.
- It lets us spot and shut down fraud, abuse, and security problems, and keep the site running properly.
- It helps us meet legal duties when they apply.
How long records stick around
Notes sent through a form remain in our mailbox while the exchange still matters, which is usually no longer than a couple of years. Server logs cycle out on whatever schedule our host runs by default. Analytics figures persist according to the analytics provider’s standard settings. Cookies tied to affiliate attribution lapse inside the window each partner program calls for, commonly somewhere between 30 and 90 days.
The choices and rights you hold
Your home jurisdiction may grant you particular legal rights over your personal data. Those can take in the ability to see, correct, erase, or move the information we hold, along with the ability to object to or limit certain handling of it. To act on any of these, send a note to info@irainvesting.com and we will get back to you within a sensible timeframe.
People in California gain extra protections through the California Consumer Privacy Act. These cover knowing which categories of personal data a business collects and opting out of any sale of that data. As stated higher up, IRA Investing does not sell personal data.
Anyone in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland holds further rights under the GDPR and comparable rules, among them the option to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Visitors who are minors
This site is built for adults planning their retirement and is not aimed at anyone under 16. We have no interest in data from minors and do not seek it. If you suspect that a minor has sent us such data, let us know and we will remove it.
Keeping your information safe
The whole site runs over HTTPS encryption, sits behind server-level firewall protection, and follows ordinary hardening practices. That said, no transfer of data across the internet can be made perfectly safe, so although we put real effort into shielding your information, absolute security is not something anyone can promise.
Where data may be handled
IRA Investing is run from inside the United States. If you visit from another country, the information picked up through your use of the site may be processed within the United States, where the rules on data protection can differ from those at home.
Updates to this policy
From time to time we may revise this Privacy Policy to keep pace with shifts in how we work, the services we use, or the law. When that happens, the review date at the top moves forward. For anything significant, we will flag the change near the top of the page for a fair stretch of time.
Reaching us
Send questions about privacy, requests to see or delete your data, and any other matter touching this policy to info@irainvesting.com. We will reply as fast as we reasonably can. For related reading, our Terms and Conditions set out the rules for using the site.
